If no unloader is installed - The machine must be switched off when not in use. If the gun is released and the pump enters its unloading state, the machine can only facilitate this for 30 seconds before the water starts overheating and ultimately damaging the pump. If any damage comes to the pump from deformation or destruction of internal components, overheating is the likely cause which will void the warrenty.
